Culture Builds Community (CBC) is a partnership between Cityfolk and East End Community Services Corporation that employs the arts and culture as tools for community building in East Dayton. Specific programmatic goals include:
- creating a sense of mutual belonging and understanding among community residents of the Twin Towers and East Dayton neighborhood
- building positive social connections across the diverse racial & ethnic groups in the community
- Providing excellent cultural opportunities and experiences to community members who have had little access to such resources
- Developing stronger social capital within Twin Towers/East Dayton, by fostering community pride and positive identity formation among youth, developing leadership skills, and enhancing civic engagement
