Culture Builds Community
Upcoming Events

CBC and The Zoot Theatre Company are collaborating with three local communities to present a series of performances that tell the personal stories of Dayton’s residents. This project, Peoples’ Puppet-Play, will be presented in conjunction with the 2010 Cityfolk Festival’s material culture exhibit, About Face: The World of Puppets & Masks. The three participating communities and their community-based partner agencies are:

• Twin Towers – East End Community Services & Ruskin Neighborhood School Center
• The Near West Side (including Wright Dunbar, Wolf Creek, Roosevelt & surrounding neighborhoods) – Wesley Community Center & Dakota Center Inc.
• Walnut Hills – Cleveland Neighborhood School Center

Groundwork for the community-inspired plays is already in progress. If you are interested in getting involved in the Peoples’ Puppet-Play project, please contact the community project coordinators your neighborhood, listed on this information sheet.
