“Without Cityfolk, our students simply would not have the opportunity to make a
meaningful connection with artists of this stature. It makes a real difference for our kids.”

-Joy Jones, Director of Bands, Cleveland School for the Arts,
Horace Mann School and Wogoman Elementary School

Exploring cultures from around the world and learning about what makes the Dayton/Miami Valley region completely unique- it’s been at the center of Cityfolk’s year-round dedication to educational programs. From skills-based efforts which have connected students with the world’s greatest jazz artists to community programs designed to heal and raise understanding in Dayton’s diverse neighborhoods, Cityfolk continues to create programs that make a difference in the lives of people of all ages.

Cityfolk’s educational programs connect with students and adults through four overlapping programs. Click on the photos below to learn more about our 2007-2008 events and activities. And to learn how you can connect Cityfolk programs to your classroom or be a part of our education and outreach efforts contact Dave Barber at 937-223-3655, extension 3015 or email at dbarber@cityfolk.org
