The Lafayette
Rhythm Devils come straight from Lafayette, Louisiana,
with a brand of Cajun dance music that would have been
right at home in the local dance halls 100 years ago.
Featuring the lead singing of accordion player Kristi
Guillory and guitarist Randy Vidrine and the outstanding
fiddling of Chris Segura, the fiery quintet lays down
a highly rhythmic groove that’s guaranteed to
get the feet moving. The band—which has three
albums to its credit, Pray for Us, Runnin’
and Les Clefs de la Prison—is deeply
rooted in the Cajun culture and music of southern Louisiana
and is committed to preserving the authentic sound and
feel of the old-style dance music. From Randol’s
Restaurant in Lafayette to the New Orleans Jazz and
Heritage Festival to stages around the country, the
Lafayette Rhythm Devils “roar mightily…
a perfect blend of full tonality, expressive playing
and impeccable timing” (Offbeat Magazine).
