Produced at the Whitesburg, Kentucky-based media center Appalshop, Shawn Lind's new film From Wood To Singing Guitar is a profile of guitarist and master guitar builder Wayne Henderson. Shot in Henderson's shop in rural North Carolina, the movie offers an intimate, behind the scenes look at how Henderson's highly collectible, immaculately hand-crafted instruments are made.

Mimi Pickering will be on hand to introduce her superb portrait of pioneering bluegrass and country singer, guitarist and songwriter Hazel Dickens. An influence to generations of songwriters and musicians, It's Hard To Tell The Singer From The Song features interviews with Dickens; fellow musicians such as Alison Krauss, Naomi Judd and Dudley Connell; and some of her most powerful music.

From Wood To Singing Guitar runs 32 minutes. It's Hard To Tell The Singer From The Song runs 60 minutes.

General admission seating for this film showing is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
